A New Journey

In about a week, I am beginning a new journey that will change my life forever. I AM GOING TO UNIVERSITY!!! Just recently, I was accepted to The University of The Bahamas where I will be studying for four years to obtain a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Media Journalism. I chose this degree because I love to speak and write and I believe I have a personality for the camera (LOL). I am looking forward to the studies because this degree will broaden my knowledge and skills to become an effective orator, reporter and radio personality.

I originally wanted to attend Liberty University in Virginia but things did not go as planned but I know God still has a purpose and plan for placing me where I am right now. It is so funny how God works because I was so certain I would be attending Liberty University and even as my church recognized the recent HighSchool Graduates, they announced that I would be attending that University. Well, as you can see that is totally not the case but who knows, it may not have been the right time that God wanted me to attend.

Always be willing to accept God’s will over your plans! Don’t be discouraged if things don’t go the way you anticipated because remember what Jeremiah 29:11 says,  ^“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” You have a Great Future and Hope in Jesus Christ!

Nevertheless, I am super excited to begin this new journey at The University of The Bahamas! I cannot believe that I am actually a University Student. This came so fast! I still vividly remember the day I graduated from primary school. Time surely flies. I know that the journey ahead will bring great challenges and obstacles but I am ready for it because I have God on my side and He will guide me through. 2021, HERE I COME!
