I have just concluded my first week of my four-year journey at the University of The Bahamas. So far it has been an amazing time experiencing the “University Life.” It is not really that difficult to adjust from HighSchool. To me, it’s pretty much the same without the long hours between classes and not being able to see your old friends as often. My University Professors/Lecturers are pretty much similar to my former HighSchool teachers… VERY funny, caring, supportive and understanding.
My University campus is not as huge as the main campus in the capital (which is kind of cool you know). You have a greater chance of interaction between Professors/Lecturers and students and students with their peers. Everyone is like family and able to remember each others name and look after each other. However, I have to make my transition to the main campus very shortly to complete my degree (Bahcelor of Arts in Media Journalism) and I am totally mixed feelings about it. However, I have to remember that life is always about changes. Jimmy Dean said it best…
I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.
Well, week one down and 111 more to go… The Journey to 2021 continues!

Raphy, I’m certain you’ll do great on every campus you touch. The Northern Campus setting is a bit more inviting than the Main Campus in Nassau. When I started the Northern Campus, I was completely nervous simply because it was a totally different atmosphere for me. Now I have 1 1/2 years left and couldn’t be more excited.
