A Message in Misfortune!

There’s always a lesson and a message in everything we go through in life.

Today, I watched Mrs. Cara T. Newton-Thurston (an amazing lady by the way) share a profound message via Facebook Live as she recounted how someone broke into and attempted to steal her car. She rarely drives the car, so when she looked, she could have tell something was not right. The car door was slightly opened, and when she looked inside, things were messed up and the driver’s window was down a bit. Though she felt kind of angry and violated, it was still a laughable situation for her as the perpetrator was unsuccessful, simply because the car had no gas in it. Despite all that had transpired, there was still a message hidden in this misfortune and here’s what was gathered….

God has you hidden for a reason. Stop looking for people to gas you up and let God be your only source. God has you in this position so that you won’t go places He did not send you, with people who you weren’t designed to be with.

If you allow people to elevate and drive you, they will have the control over you. They can carry you places you were never meant to go and if you crash, they’ll leave you hanging. Never allow people to lift you up because they’ll have the control to bring you down and you’ll end up back to square one.

When you allow God to unveil you, in His perfect timing, you become unstoppable. Trust God in your hiding place! Don’t move prematurely! There’s a reason and purpose for your covering! Wait on the Lord!

Short story, but powerful message!
