Well, it’s 2018, thank you Lord for another year and allowing us to crossover into a greater season of our lives. Happy New Year’s everyone! Praying God’s Best for your life!
Knowing God’s timing and staying syncopated with His timing can be somewhat difficult. When God deposits a dream/idea/plan/goal/vision within us, we can become overly excited and operate out of His timing and mess up everything.
God dealt with me concerning His timing recently as I decided to jump ahead and try to release something He had given me, out of His timing (I’m glad He caught me before I messed everything up). So there was a particular idea God gave me which I was especially ecstatic about because I know how much it will help people around me and it is something I know is greatly needed. After writing everything about the plan down, I decided to contact someone I know, who has a platform surrounding this idea and is passionate about what I am trying to do. I sent the email outlining the purpose and goal of this idea and really excited about what God was going to do.
Then suddenly, about 4 days prior to the designated release day, I felt the need to seek The Lord for direction for the new year. So I decided to shutdown for three days and just spend quality time in His presence and allow Him to pour into me (highly recommended). For the first two days, I just allowed God to speak to me. I did not ask Him anything, I just kept my spiritual ears open to His voice. And what a time I had! I almost had 10 pages of notes with Him speaking to me and leading me to different scriptures. On the third and final day, I went and wrote down the different things I needed clear direction on as I approached the new year.
One of the things I wrote was the plan I decided to be “Mr. Overly Excited And About To Make Wrong Moves” on just for clarity. I know it was a God idea but you know, wanted to be in the Will of The Lord (now you want to be in His Will? SMH). Anyways, He spoke so profoundly and said, “Wait until I bring you out. You can not help others while going through what you are trying to help them out of. You must become the testimony first.” WOW! Afterwards, I began just allowing God to write stuff down through me and when I was finished writing, I was even more blown away. This is what I wrote…“You must SEEK GOD before making plans/moves. You stay in the Will of God by seeking HIM first for direction and guidance. You cannot afford to move out of emotions and excitement without knowing the true weight of the assignment. (Now this part TOOK ME OUT!!!!) Just because it seems like the right thing to do, means it is the right time to move! Stay syncopated with God’s timing.“
After I came from this shutdown, I emailed the person back and told them what the Lord told me and that was the same thing they were going to tell me, but to hear it from The Lord myself made it even better. STAY IN GOD’S TIMING!
It is my prayer that in 2018 and beyond that we stay in God’s timing and never move out out of sync. May we continue to SEEK God in every area of our lives for guidance and direction on what to do and where to go. I pray that we would come out of fleshy emotions and stay in the Spirit. Like Moses, if His presence/glory is not going with us, we need not to go. May we never give birth to our plans/dreams/ideas/goals/visions prematurely. May we allow God to work in and through us as He prepares us for the manifestation. May we never become discouraged or frustrated during the waiting process. May we fully trust God’s timing, for in the fullness of time, everything will fall into place and everything He promised to do, will come to pass.
