What vision, dream, or idea God has given that you have allowed to lay dormant? What thing you once started that you stopped doing?
A couple of days ago, I was on a phone call with a dear friend of mine, who reminded me of something I started about three years ago. She asked me about its progress, but I stopped working on it and have not done so for months. She rebuked me for not keeping up with it and encouraged me to continue pursuing it. I was sleeping on purpose. I was sleeping on somebody’s deliverance. I was sleeping on somebody’s blessing. I allowed things around me to detour me from pursuing it, and God used her to wake me up to dust it off.
She also reminded me about this blog I now write on, but I allowed this ministry to collect dust. I had to realize that somebody needed this writing, even if it was one person. I would have done enough if I had touched one person’s life with this blog. I was shocked she remembered this stuff, but it was a necessary conversation. God gave me this vision and purpose for a reason, and I should not have cast it away. That conversation reignited a passion for purpose.
I want to let you know that you are more than what you offer now. God has placed something greater inside of you that you need to revisit. Revisit that vision board, revisit that word document, revisit that page, revisit that idea, it is time to dust it off. Take it off the shelf! Dust the business plan off and get back to working on it. God gave it to you for a reason; do not let go of it. I know it can be discouraging sometimes, but you have to fight to keep and fight to maintain what God gave you.
Be encouraged by Philippians 1:6 (KJV),
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
God will complete what He started in you, but it is up to you to dust it off, and allow Him to work in and through you. IT’S TIME! A soul is depending on you. What will you do?
